INTERVIEW INFORMATION · 25 OCTOBER 2026

Your voice.
Your choices.

RingRing collects dated perspectives on artificial intelligence to understand how views change over time. Participation is voluntary. This first field collection is for adults aged 18 or older.

What we collect

One to five audio answers, their machine transcription, an optional photo or an avatar selected from our gallery, an optional public display name, city, language, collection date, question version and permissions. The Anna workflow also records first and last name, age at interview, optional nationality, country and city of residence, professional situation, optional profession or field of study, self-declared contributor role and company represented if provided, collection city and the collector responsible. With the current on-screen agreement, only the first name, last name, age, nationality, profession, declared contributor role and company represented if provided, city of residence and interview city you choose to share may accompany a published interview. Email and phone remain private. No email or account is required to start Anna. A phone number is optional and is not needed to participate. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates for these interviews.

Recording and transcription

Recording requires your agreement before the microphone is activated. Audio is sent to OpenAI for automatic transcription, which may involve processing outside your country. Automated transcripts can contain errors. Your original voice is not rewritten.

Interviews with Anna

Anna is an OpenAI-powered AI voice interviewer. Before the microphone is activated, the participant reads and accepts the on-screen agreement; in a field interview the collector records the participant’s acceptance. The agreement covers adult status, recording, OpenAI processing, preservation for up to thirty years, publication of an optional photo, a chosen avatar or an emoji fallback and the shared profile fields, voice and transcript publication after five years, and approved social reuse under the same timing. Its exact text, version, acceptance time and recording account are retained. Anna does not ask the permission questions aloud again. The full interview and each answered question are preserved; new interviews do not create an audio file presented as oral consent. First name, optional age and city already supplied, plus live audio, are sent to OpenAI. After the five questions, Anna offers to collect optional personal details in conversation. You can decline them and still keep your recorded answers. A private device session links the collection without requiring an email or sign-up.

While collecting, keep the page open. Completed-answer drafts may be kept in this browser’s local storage for retry; an unsubmitted draft is not a confirmed server archive. Collectors should use a protected personal device and remove unsent drafts when no longer needed. A successful upload removes the local draft.

A sealed capsule

Answers upload automatically as the conversation progresses. After submission, participant playback is locked for five years from the collection date. RingRing administrators can privately access recordings for moderation and operational support; this access is logged. Your ability to withdraw or request deletion continues during the sealed period.

Publication and review

The on-screen agreement describes publication of an optional photo, a chosen avatar or an emoji fallback and the first name, last name, age, nationality, profession, declared contributor role and company represented if provided, city of residence and interview city you choose to share on RingRing and other sites using its widget, voice and transcript after five years, and approved social reuse. Do not start if you do not accept these terms; contact RingRing to discuss different permissions. You can subsequently request changes to publication permissions, withdrawal or deletion. A portrait is identifiable, even without a name. Audio and transcripts stay sealed for at least five years and become public only when the saved publication permission allows it. Each recorded answer reserves one place on the interview wall, using the same photo, chosen avatar or an emoji when neither is supplied and wall publication is permitted. Missing profile fields are not invented. New, fully saved interviews with Wall publication permission appear automatically after processing is complete. No separate manual publication review is required. An interrupted upload stays private until final saving is complete. Older records are not published retroactively by this change, and retain the scope of their original agreement. Skipped questions do not create pixels. There is no automatic social posting in this version.

Private contact details

Email and phone are encrypted within the interview archive. They do not appear in public capsules, widgets or the public wall. Your account email is also used by RingRing’s separate sign-in system. Collectors cannot browse stored contact details; administrators can access them for support and account management, with access logged. We do not sell interview contact details or treat participation as consent to unrelated marketing.

Retention and annual participation

Capsules and associated contact details are scheduled for retention for up to thirty years, unless you withdraw or request deletion sooner. A new contribution creates a separate dated capsule. An annual invitation requires a separate optional permission; automatic invitations are not yet enabled. Operational access logs are kept for up to one year.

Your rights and contact

Sign in at your private archive with the email provided during the interview to withdraw publication or delete a capsule. You can also contact hello@ringring.day to request access, a correction, removal, or changes to your permissions. Removal stops access through RingRing’s website and widgets; copies already saved by third parties cannot be remotely erased. The general RingRing privacy notice also applies.
